Caregiver requirements
- 21 years of age or older
- Fluent spoken and written English
- High school diploma, GED, or formal education in a child-related field
- 2+ years of verifiable professional childcare experience, including at least 1 year of in-home care if applying for roles with younger children
- 2+ professional references from people you are not related to.
- Valid US driver's licence, good driving record and active personal auto insurance
- Clean criminal record
- Non-smoker
- Valid US work authorization
What counts as professional experience
Work as a nanny, daycare provider, teacher, camp counsellor, tutor, coach, or any paid position where your job was working with children. Occasional babysitting and volunteer nursery work count as supplementary, not as your main experience. We look for experience within the last two to five years, and we verify it with your former employers.
