Hi, I'm Sofia, the founder of Ms. Nanny
Ms. Nanny was born from a simple realization: raising children without a village is hard.
After moving from Portugal to Texas, I began volunteering as an early childhood development teacher in my community. One evening, a mother shared how overwhelmed she felt raising her children in the U.S. without family nearby to help.
I couldn’t stop thinking about that conversation.
So many parents are building demanding careers, raising children, and creating a life far from the support systems they grew up with. They don’t simply need childcare. They need someone they can trust, someone who understands their family, respects their values and culture, and becomes a meaningful part of their support system.
That is why I created Ms. Nanny.
I'm here to help Dallas–Fort Worth families find carefully screened, professional nannies who fit not only their childcare needs, but their household, values, and way of life.

Mission
Give parents a support system
Our mission is to make parents' lives better and easier by finding them the right caregiver and supporting them along the way. When you're building a career and raising children, time is the one thing you never get back.
Ms. Nanny is much more than connecting nannies to families, it's about making sure the right values are passed to the next generation.
Vision
More than a placement agency.
My goal is to create a community: events where families and nannies connect, share experiences, learn from each other, and have fun together.
I come from a multicultural background, half Portuguese and half Indian, and I believe it's by being in contact with people who think differently that we evolve as humans. All kids benefit from being in touch with other cultures and traditions.
